Frequently Asked Questions

How often should I recharge my car's AC?+
We recommend checking and recharging the climate system every 2 years or when you notice reduced cooling efficiency. If your AC is blowing warm air, it's time for a visit.
What's the difference between R134a and R1234yf refrigerant?+
R134a is the standard refrigerant for cars manufactured before 2017. R1234yf is the new generation, more eco-friendly refrigerant, mandatory for newer models. At HOT22, we work with both types.
How long does an AC recharge take?+
A standard recharge takes about 30-60 minutes, including diagnostics, vacuuming, and refrigerant charging. More complex issues may require additional time.
What does ozone treatment include?+
Ozone treatment is a cabin disinfection procedure using ozone gas. It eliminates bacteria, viruses, mold, and unpleasant odors. The procedure takes about 30 minutes and is recommended after winter or when purchasing a used car.
Do you service all car brands?+
Yes, at HOT22 we service all makes and models — from mainstream to premium vehicles. We have modern equipment for diagnostics and repair of climate systems on any vehicle.
How do I book an appointment?+
Call 089 338 3443 or message us on WhatsApp/Viber. We're open Mon-Fri 9-18, Sat 9-14. You can usually come in within 1-2 business days.
Do you service electric vehicles?+
Yes. We have a diagnostic scanner and R1234yf station compatible with Tesla, BMW i, Mercedes EQ, VW ID, Hyundai Ioniq, Kia EV, Nissan Leaf, Renault Zoe and more. We work with heat pumps, electric compressors and PTC heaters.
Which refrigerant does my car use?+
Check the sticker under the hood, usually on the radiator support. It lists the refrigerant type and amount in grams. Cars made until 2015-2017 use R134a. Newer models use R1234yf. Not sure? Call us with the make and year and we'll tell you.
Why does my AC smell bad?+
Usually bacteria and mold on the evaporator behind the dashboard. When the AC runs, moisture collects on its surface. Over time bacteria grow and start to smell. Ozone treatment plus a cabin filter change solves it.
How much does a recharge cost?+
Depends on the refrigerant type. R134a recharge is 40-60 EUR. R1234yf is 90-140 EUR because the refrigerant itself is more expensive. Price includes vacuuming and leak check. No hidden fees.
